What does Pharma-Scan do?
Pharma-Scan reads GS1 DataMatrix barcodes (used on all EU and UK pharmaceutical packaging under the Falsified Medicines Directive) and legacy 1D barcodes including EAN-13, UPC-A, and GS1-128. It extracts GTIN, serial number, batch/lot number, and expiry date from every scan — instantly, on-device, with no server dependency.

FMD and EMVS compliant
Pharma-Scan correctly parses all GS1 Application Identifiers required under the Falsified Medicines Directive, including AI (01) GTIN, AI (21) Serial Number, AI (17) Expiry Date, and AI (10) Batch/Lot Number. It handles common DataMatrix scanning quirks and validates barcodes before submission.
